RACK MOUNTING YOUR DESKTOP ENCLOSURES

All that is required to rack mount a desktop enclosure is a 19" shelf. They are custom fabricated from a single sheet of aluminium. Then you can either specify a standard enclosure from our range – or we can custom manufacture one for you.

The enclosures in the picture above are fully bespoke but also very cost-effective – proving that fully custom housings need not be costly. Their simple design comprises one U-shaped sheet of aluminium for the base, front and rear panels, and another similarly shaped wraparound section for the top and sides.

We can machine all the necessary apertures and cutouts for fitting displays, connectors and controls. Inside, we can add fixings and inserts for installing PCBs, assemblies and components, for earth connectivity.

Assembly of these enclosures is with screws through the sides. They screw into tabs that fold up from the base panel. Underneath, there are four non-slip rubber feet which fit neatly into matching apertures in the rack shelf. These ensure the enclosure does not slide out of place but can be easily removed for inspection, maintenance or desktop use when required.
